Objective

My goal is to assist Middle School, High School and Church Band/Orchestra Directors in the training of their Percussion Sections through private and group percussion instruction.

Skills

Teach private and group percussion lessons.
Worked as a Clinician assisting High School Marching Band Percussion Section to prepare for Contest.
Performed in Jazz Quartet.
Performed in two Big Bands.
Performed in Grade School, Junior High School, High School and College Marching, Concert and Stage/Jazz Bands.
Performed in numerous Percussion Ensemble recitals.

Tulsa Bible Church, Tulsa, OK		January, 2009 - Present
Orchestra Percussionist
Play snare drum, suspended cymbal, crash cymbals, triangle, wind chimes, tambourine, claves, chimes and gong as I share responsibilities with another percussionist.

Played the Drum Set in the Rhythm Section.

Percussionist
Rehearsed and performed with the Marching, Concert and Jazz Bands each weekend. Provided moral support for the Troops.

Tulsa Christian Academy, Tulsa, OK		August, 1981- June, 1982
Instrumental and Vocal Teacher K-12, Band Director, Bible Teacher
Gave private instrumental lessons and classroom music instruction to K-12. Taught and directed the School Choir and prepared them for State Contest at which they placed a 1st. Prepared, rehearsed and directed the Christmas Program. Taught Bible Class.

8 Years of Private Instruction
Studied under Richard Paul, a percussionist in the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Learned both melodic and non-melodic percussion instruments. Learned how to play the Drum Set.

Numerous 1st Place Medals at State Contest.

Special Performances

Performed on the Drum Set when Leonard Bernstein conducted the debut of his "Rock Mass" at Butler University in 1978.
Performed in the Concert Band with the legendary flugal hornist, Chuck Mangione, in 1977 at Butler University.
