Cashier,Freight, Customer Service (seasonal), 12/2009-3/2010

  • General Manager-Steve-(281)-644-2550
  • Soft Side Manager-Ted
  • Summary- During each week I would arrive at the time for me to work based on my schedule. During the period that I worked I would put out all the freight items, help customers with what they were looking for, also I was a back up cashier and answered the phone for my department.
  • During the week arrive between 5-7 P.M. after clocking In I would go directly to the back warehouse area of the store. Immediately starting on taking care of the new freight .To take care of the freight you would have to find each individual items location and make sure it still looked presentable. While we be taking care of the thousand or more pieces of freight each night we also had to be a back up cashier and a floor associate. A floor associate makes sure that every single customer is taken care of and has great shopping experience. At the end of the night around 12 A.M. we would start cleaning the store by sections straitening, replenishing stock, and making sure sections were perfect. Then a store manager comes around and checks each and every section to make sure there are no flaws. We usually finish this procedure around 2-3 A.M. in the morning and then head home. During the weekend I would usually come in around 7A.M. and vacuum half the store, stock replenish and items that were not done the night before and make sure all items have tags on them. After the store opens just make sure every customer’s questions are answered and they are all happy. On the weekends the amount of customers that come into the store is a far vaster amount than during the week. After the next associates arrives to take over my shift around 3 P.M. most of the weekends sometimes it does vary.

  • summary- As soon as you get a customer that sits in your designated section, you start out by greeting the customer and asking them for there drink choice. After giving them there bevereage and enough time to reveiw the menu go back to the table and take their order. When you get their order and read it back to them to make sure its 100%, then go to the designated computer and enter there order in as specific as you can get it so the cook knows exactly what they want. As soon as the food comes out onto the line make sure everything is correct , then go serve it to the customer's making sure to bring them extra sauce, ketchup , napkins or what ever they desire. After they finish the main course ask if they want a desert if not then bring them their check and cash them out. After cashing the customer out thank them for coming and keep the cash until the end of your shift is over and present it to a manager.
