I worked at this intimate, privately-owned salon in Shepherd, TX for close to three years. I rented a station and provided all of my own proucts and supplies, offering my clients cuts/styles, color services, waxing, and makeup applications. I decided to rent a station in order to have more flexibility in my schedule when my son started kindergarten, and so that I could enroll in college. I gained a loyal clientele and established myself as a respected and sought-after stylist in Shepherd.
ULTA Salon, Conroe, TX		October, 2006-April, 2008
Master Designer/Assistant Salon Manager
I began at ULTA in October 2006, and became a Master Designer and stand-in manager by May 2007 for a few months while the salon was without a manager. After a manager was hired, I was given the Assistant Salon Manager position in addition to my regular duties as a stylist to the clientele I had built. While at ULTA, I gained a Satin Smooth waxing certification, and became Redken educated. I was also educated on various product lines that were sold at ULTA. I am familiar with several lines, such as Kenra, Fekkai, Redken, Matrix, Sebastion/Wella, ABBA, Ojon, Joico, and more. I gained leadership skills, as well as teamwork and team-building experience. I also built up my problem-solving and multi-tasking skills during this time.
Regis (Regis Signature Salon&Spa, Willowbend Mall; Mia&Maxx, Vista Ridge Mall; Regis Salon, Deerbrook Mall), Plano, TX; Lewisville, TX; Humble, TX		May, 2005-September, 2006
Receptionist, Stylist
I began at Regis Signature Salon & Spa soon after graduating from Toni&Guy Hairdressing Academy in 2005 as a receptionist before becoming a stylist there once I had my cosmetology license. While there, I provided color and cut/styling services, as well as waxing services. Unable to gain much of a clientele, due to lack of business (the salon has since been closed), I worked briefly as a receptionist at Richard Hayler Colour Salon in Northpark Center before moving to Regis-owned Mia&Maxx Hair Salon in Vista Ridge Mall in May, 2006. In July, 2006 I moved to Shepherd, TX (near Houston) and transferred to Regis at Deerbrook Mall in Humble, TX. I provided the same services for my clients at all three Regis salons. After transferring to the salon in the Houston area, I was able to begin building a steady clientele, but was dissatisfied with the work atmosphere and sought employment at ULTA.

Cosmetology License
I attended Toni&Guy Academy from June 1, 2004 through late February, 2005. I completed my state board exam in July or August of 2005 and received my cosmetology license in September, 2005.
Angelina College, Lufkin, TX
I began taking part-time classes at Angelina College in June, 2010 and continued through the Spring semester, 2011 when I moved back to the Dallas area. I finished the Spring semester with a 3.75 GPA and plan to enroll part-time in a community college in the area to continue my education in order to become a registered nurse.
University of North Texas, Denton, TX
I was enrolled at UNT for two semesters in 2002-2003 right after high school before deciding to go to cosmetology school at Toni&Guy. I had scholarships and financial aid due to my achievements in high school.
