Baker/Prep/Counter help/Cashier/Catering staffJanuary 2007-July 2008
  • I started out learning how to work the counter, taking and filling orders for breakfast and lunch, but was quickly cross-trained in ALL areas of ABP. In a very short time, I was doing all the salads every day, prepping for all the catering orders, and also doing the overnight baking of the fresh pastries/bagels/breads. I ran a cash register when needed, and worked overtime if needed to cover any shifts that had to be covered.
  • When my mother became hospitalized, and I tried to take time off to be with her, I was told that my job "could not be gauranteed", so I walked off the job to spend the last month of my mother's life with her. I do NOT regret this decision, even though it was the ONLY job I've ever walked out on without giving my notice.
