  • This is a non-profit organization with a few paid staff each summer. They bring in high school and middle school youth groups from different churches around the U.S. We set them up with different homeowners around the Grand Rapids area who have low-income and/or are disabled. We then help these homeowners with free home repairs as a ministry to them. I would do things like run supplies from the main base to the work sites, supervise the students doing the work, take trash from sites to the dump as well as yard waste, clean used paint brushes, and talk with homeowners.
