Job Description:

evaluate a mortgage application in order to decide whether or not to grant a mortgage to a customer.
analyze the applicant's income, work experience, credit history and other debt obligations.
look into the appraisal of the purchased property and check whether it has been valued correctly to warrant the loan requested from the bank.
ensure that the property specifications and loan terms meet their employers' requirements and government regulations.
knowledge of credit and mortgage loan underwriting practices

Experience Requirements:

Requires 5+ yr Sr. Underwriters that can write as they will be sending decisions to FNMA/FHLMC
Experience in both Frontline and Backend Underwriting
