Job Description:

• The Project Engineer provides sales-related engineering assistance to sales operations and our customers. Duties and requirements include:
• •Significant hands-on engineering knowledge of plastic injection molding, preferably in a contract manufacturing organization, including part manufacturability and tool design.
• •Self-starter and self-motivated.
• •Able to analyze problems from various angles; 'think outside the box'.
• •Extensive working knowledge of CAD-based tools. SolidWorks and other CAD Based Programs.
• •Extensive working knowledge of other engineering tools such as SPC software.
• •Able to prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, mold drawings, and other visual aids.
• •Able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• •Knowledge of and demonstrated experience working in an ISO 9001:2008 or similar QMS.
• •Able to communicate effectively with customers, material suppliers, and tooling vendors.
• •Extensive working knowledge of Access, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
• •Plastic product DFM knowledge preferred.
• •Manage selection, purchase, and installation of new equipment in the most cost effective manner.
• •Oversee and assist in all new mold production and modification to existing tools ensuring timely completion.
• •Ensure complete customer satisfaction through first article analysis and quality procedures.
• •Review customer part designs and provide suggestions to improve manufacturability.
• •Research and present material, color and manufacturing options.
• •Develop tooling designs and obtain vendor quotes.
• •Identify manufacturing parameters such as cycle times.
• •Develop tooling and part quotes.
• •Oversee and/or perform New Product Introduction (NPI) process and production activities.
• •Test production run(s), including those performed by vendors.

Weekends are scheduled based on customer requirements. Molding Machines range from 55 Tons to 750 Tons. In addition we operate an automatic spray paint booth line.
